"Sister0, connects in #my first burial" the Shaman Rattle of an exoticised elsewhere with today's technopolitics. Here, Sister0 shows in lines of thought and performance the desire to transcend time and space as patterns of continuity, while the concrete historical fields changes, but she never forgets about the sexual politics immanent to these fields as situated practices. It was hilarious and serious, funny and destructive performance, dealing with questions of life and death as it was encapsulated in Marx reading: 'making the ossified conditions dance by singing them their own melody'".by Fahim Amir in MetaMute Magazine

"...These poets shall exist when the age long slavery shall have ended when, she will be able to live by & for herself, when man hitherto having given her freedom, she will be a poet. Women will discover the unknown. Will her word be different from ours? She will discover things that will be strange & unfathomable, repulsive & delicate. We shall take them from her & we shall understand them. "
-Rimbaud.

State and institutional control of bodies, hardware, software, western medicine plants, herbs, has enduring and limiting effects on those who generate life (women), how we experience life itself, but also our ability to understand the formless world of the dead and undead.

I am concerned with ostracised and imperilled bodies of knowledge and am interested in the retrieval and transmission and of them. In the spirt and sentiment of the Beat Generation, in 2003 I went to South Colombia, the Puto-Mayo Region, Foundation de Investigaciones chamanistas to experience ancient practices of plant usage [as software] and how objects, such as the Shaman Rattle rattle and other paraphernalia or talisman [hardware] are related to the rising ubiquity of computational media and platform usage nowadays and the merged realities they bring about with them (for those in the metropoles).

It is my view that these mythical, hallucinogenic and telepathic elements are distinctly present in both old and new traditions. I wanted to see how I could demystify and spark a renewed and more meaningful understanding between them both. To open up the possibility of forging a non-hierarchical relation between ethno-medicine & art practice, a relation of mutual enrichment beyond the self-assured cadre of `new age healer', disembodied computer geek, or the vacant style of fashionable pop artists.

Coming from Tasmania and having a lot of my own ancestral demons. Not long after I arrived the shaman's son gave me the Devil Tarot Card, soon after the shaman advised me that I should have a burial, so I had My first burial.
